Guided Elk, Deer & Bear Hunts in Montana's High Country

All-inclusive, fully guided hunts for elk, mule deer, whitetail, and spring bear — deep in the Montana backcountry where the elk still hold and the country still means something.

Three Seasons. One Montana Standard.

Every hunt is fully guided, small-group, and built around the country we know better than anyone.

Don't Take Our Word For It — Read the Reviews

The best measure of a guided hunt isn't a brochure — it's the hunters who've walked our country and come back for more. TripAdvisor reviews come straight from verified guests who've lived the experience: the guides, the lodge, the terrain, and the harvest.

Read unfiltered accounts from past clients and see why Montana High Country ranks among the most trusted guided hunts in the region.

Gear Built for the Mountain — Powered by Sitka

The wrong gear in Montana will end a hunt early. The right gear keeps you hunting through cold, wet, and wind — day after day, mile after mile.

Sitka engineers hunting systems from the base layer out, field-tested in the exact terrain we guide. From early-season archery to late-season rifle, their kits are the standard our clients show up in — and the standard we recommend for every hunter joining us at Montana High Country.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

"What we found was an amazingly friendly welcome, a beautiful relaxed lodge in breath-taking scenery, comfortable rooms and a delicious home cooked dinner and breakfast. Russ & Karen couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating, and made our stay a memorable one. Although we only stayed the one night en route to Bannack, it was amongst the most relaxing, peaceful and enjoyable places that I have stayed in my extensive travels. I will certainly be returning."

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

"We stayed for a week at the Montana High Country Lodge. Russ and Karen could not be more accommodating. The lodge and rooms were clean, the food was great, the views are incredible. Wildlife is abundant. The location provided us within minutes of some of the Most Beautiful Scenery in the Country. We can't wait to return next year!"

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

"We called last minute and Russ fit my wife and I into his schedule and we were able to hunt cow elk the last week of the season. Russ was also our guide on the first frigid morning of our hunt. Very knowledgeable of the area we went to and of the animals travel routes. We hiked to a vantage point and waited for the elk to move within range. An hour after sun-up we were putting tags on two beautiful animals. We spent the rest of the weekend exploring the area and enjoying the amenities of the lodge. Great host, great outfitter and awesome memories!!"
